I Am A Stepmom
June Commit2Paper kit rawks!! Gonna work on my BOM and here I talk a little about being a stepmom. Reshot the photo so got rid of the ugly flash.
The Prima monogram letters, Prima flowers and Cricut George letters are my additions to the kit paper which is Prima Steel Toe Mary Jane.
This was fun!
Yes Tara I am back to working on my book of me!!! Had to do a page of being a stepmom. If I had known it was gonna be this tough..... think I should add that to the page? Daring myself to use different designs (different for me anyway). TFL

Can't win them all!
I got the "you're great but..." letter! Poor ScrapGoods Amy, she's got to be a nervous wreck. I mean with each member submitting 3 lo's every month I bet she's having to narrow it down to 4 to 6 people, geez! That would still be 12 to 18 lo's a month. That is some heavy duty competition. I had two wonderful years that I would never trade for anything.
So now, congratulations to the very talented ladies that were chosen. Make me proud!!!

DT Application
Here are the layouts I submitted for Design Team at ScrapGoods! Cross your fingers and anything else you can cross for me.
This is the one in the sneak peek in an earlier post. Used embossing powder and a leaf cookie cutter to make the leaf shape on the lower left. Used the leaf die cuts of double sided adhesive for the ones along the gold vine. And the jelly is VERY good!
Miss Caroline's Baptism. This is actually a combination of the Dec07, March 08 and April 08 kits. I love to combine kits to show their versatility. Used the variegated leafing on the photo corners, threw in a few primas and Rubons, pink crackle paint over green paint on the border frame.
This was fun! Used the transparency from the May kit to make a three page overlapping.
Here are all the pages together.
Back of the transparency and the back page side by side.
This is the back of the transparency up close.
And the back page by itself.
Made an effort to choose three layouts from three different kits. Had more and uploaded them to the SG Gallery. We should know the result in just a few more days.

Sneak peak of DT application
Gosh didn't realize it had been so long since I've posted! Sorry, folks. As you can though, I have been busy. Wanted to use all new layouts for the Design Team tryouts on Scrapgoods and I think I've got a good selection. This sneak peak here is the Oct07 kit, Coloring With EP. I hadn't tried the technique of using the cookie cutters yet so here is a pic of a leaf made with a mix of three different embossing powders, with the chip border just below it.
Pic is a little fuzzy, have to practice more shooting up close.
Here's a few more where I used the pre-cut leaves mounted on that really thick sticky double sided tape, love that stuff!! Again, a mix of different ep's.
Maybe I'll have more sneak peaks later....

Decisions decisions
I know, I know, there is supposed to be a layout here for you to look at. And I have a really cool one! Bobbie it's of the cliffside shots when we took our little hike.
BUT Amy at ScrapGoods just announced the application requirements for this coming year's Design Team!!! So I may hold this layout and a couple more in reserve to submit for that.
Course now I have to decide to go for it. Now it's 3 lo's EVERY month!!! Wow, talk about pressure. But all those free goodies. And seeing the kit early every month woohoo!!!
...sigh... what to do
SO, what do you think? I WANT COMMENTS HERE FOLKS!!!

Sean! Ain't he cute!
Another Commit2Paper layout! I have bunches of nephews and nieces but there were three that I was very close to while they were little and felt like I helped raise them. This is Sean. Used a sketch from Gettin Sketchy (link to the right). As soon as I saw that sketch just knew it was meant for these pics.
The circles on the pp were just crying out for crystals.

April Show 2008
Well it's not quite NSD but can I call it NSWeekend? Been working on my room (no not ready for the unveiling) and scrapping.
Our wonderful roses that Sheldon works so hard on every year are really showing out this year. Took these pics a few days ago and already the rose garden is three times more full of blooming beauties. Hey, that sounds like a good title for another layout!!!
Used the May Commit2Paper kit (link to the right), this kit is so versatile. Love the thickers, so many of each letter, got to get more sets of those. Added just a few goodies from my stash, but you'll love this kit.
Thanks for looking!
