Snow in Augusta

This is the 2nd time in 2010 we've had snow. I've NEVER seen that!

Lots of catching up to do!

And I'm sure it'll take more than one post.

I have TWO Commit2Paper kits for you to peruse, both GAWGEOUS and one layout, of bits and pieces.

I'm really digging Glitz lately, and this has a very Romantic vibe without being all "oooo it's Valentines" cause it ain't. And I wish this was "touch" screen enabled cause the ribbon is very yummy!


Oh no! Just ignore the sock foot.... But don't you LOVE this Piggy Tales! We can use more Piggy Tales. Chinese New Year, it's just great!


And here is a layout that is a combination of LOTS of goodies, mostly two very important RAK's from my buddies Bobbie (the tatting) and Kylie (the butterfly & copper tag). Thank you SO MUCH, they were fun to work with. Course the tatting from Bobbie was ORANGE but I fixed that with Glimmer Mist!!! Also used some screens (from Robin) with GM for the background. Added pins from Maya Road (from Geri), felt ribbon, Petaloo flowers, Marrakesh brad, more bits and pieces from my stash.

So basically, after I was happy with the color of my hair, my darling husband got brave and he cut it for me! I think he did pretty good, put a lock of hair in the envie. Likey?

Commit2Paper Sept Kit and Sheldon's Birthday!

He actually made a video of it too, I'll see if I can get it up later.

September kit Glitz "Kismet" papers! These are super cool. Bazzill cs and paper flowers, BoBunny Chunks, Kismet rubons and the wildest ribbon, it's more like well, you'll just have to see.


Added some of my stash, burlap flower, cant remember the other flower, a bead from my stash. The medallion in the center is metal and I believe it is from a Marrakesh line. The rubon is Crate Paper.

Okay, I think I borrowed this idea from Scrapbooks, etc. or some such mag. Amy did one like it last month.

I also took a 2"x4" piece of the pale yellow cs, added a couple of the rubons, then cut in half for two of the squares.

Nothing too special here, just added a 7Gypsies tag, mixed up the fonts, MR felt owl (love that) and discovered I had a ton of felt border (Q&Co) so decided I better start using it. Am loving this BoBunny paper.

Love the flowers that came with this kit and the rubons stick on REALLY well. Ran out of k's but I think in a different color works well.

Look Out!

Every trip to Augusta to see Sheldon's folks just had to include a run around the property in the cart. Josh couldn't wait till he got big enough to drive. I was amazed that Buddy stayed in the back as long as he did.

The layout was looking a little too formal for such a fun time so I smeared a little paint around the edges of the main pp.

See the little giraffe? I got the Pebbles chalk kit from PeachyCheap a few weeks back and thought that would go great with these pics. Ain't he cute? (good cute Jen) Also added a little birdie from Maya Road.

Another hit with Bo Bunny! Pretty pretty florals!!! Had fun with this, but then I always do.

A variety of subjects, fuzzy butt, birthday, Mother's Day, very versatile.

Ribbon Redo

Hehehehe this made me laugh when I came up with the idea.

Redid my ribbon storage, so these are the before and after photos. Had a bunch of pieces of ribbon that did not really call for an embellie box of their own so voila! Perfect way to use them.

Coinky Dink?

So last Thursday, I went to the local Chinese spot, ate too much and got my fortune cookie. Took it home but didn't eat it or read my fortune.

This weekend ("wait joyce you haven't finished telling us about the fortune", "don't worry I'll get back to that") Sheldon took me shopping for clothes for my birthday.

When I get home after putting them all away, I spy the fortune cook (see told ya). Open it up and it said:

You will get new clothes soon.

I'm serious!!!!

April Commit2Paper Kit!

Crate Paper! If you know me you know I love me some Crate Paper! This is the Brook Collection, some classic CP details but some fun new stuff thrown in. Coordinating rubons that really stick. Add in some AC Thickers and ribbon, great Bazzill cardstock. OH and Prima flowers, big, layered, lacy gorgeous! I used them both, oh no I must have more.

This is definitely a spring and summer kit which is a good thing since some of the rubons say spring, summer... LOL!

Had a lovely little rak of matching chipboard pieces that I used (in pic), sorry, they dont come with the kit. But find ya some.

They were in a small plane flying over the Grand Canyon, he's actually scared, but Josh slept through the whole thing.

Oh and OSU ladies, the Maya Road "Bird With Cage" stamp in one of Chere's offerings a few months back is a PERFECT match to this kit! You see it in the "Love 2 Melt Ice" layout below. I stamped the cage, embossed with platinum (probably from SG) and then stamped the bird. Ink wipes right off the embossing. Kewl!




Sheldon loved this card! I wrote a little lovely for the inside, you can see that on the next layout.


Since Chinese New Years and Valentine's was on the same day, we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant and then went shopping.

Ribbon Redo

My ribbon reorganization is over!!!

This is where I started but actually the red/pink drawer is after I had pulled out what I was giving away, cause I was having trouble just closing that drawer. These are not Sterilite drawers either, they are Everyday Living which are a little longer and deeper.





This is what was pulled out to ship off to five of my friends, hope they are enjoying.


And voila!!! Ain't it great! Used two sizes of Cropper Hopper embellishment boxes, the mini square and cube. Wanted the mini squared which is a middle size but I think they have quit making them. However I had some small boxes I got from Harbor Freight that were close so I put them to use.

I know what you are thinking, "but joyce they aren't sorted by shade in each drawer".

Okay bite me! I am tired of looking at it and want to go back to scrapping stuff for now. So maybe later. Maybe.
